Making money with Adsense, or increasing your current Adsense revenue, is directly related to search engine optimization of your web pages.  And getting good search engine ranking requires Backlinks - Getting quality backlinks will result in increased targeted traffic to your website.

If you want to rank well in the search engines, you have to have a lot of in-bound links to your pages (backlinks).

The question becomes then, how do you get those links?   I’m going to tell you how to get a huge number of links to your site for free.  Are you ready for this?  Pay attention because it’s complicated…

Write articles.

Ok, so it’s not complicated.  But Yes, to get hundreds of free links, write articles and submit them to the top article submission sites.  The one I like the most is Ezine Articles.  http://www.ezinearticles.com/

Ezine Articles is great because it is very popular, so you’ll get lots of exposure to webmasters looking for content.

Ezine Articles is ALSO great because it lets you include an HTML link in your about box, whereas many of the submission sites do not allow any HTML at all.

The benefit of being able to use HTML with Ezine Articles is that you can include your keywords in your link text (anchor text), which is very important!  Those anchor text links will drive your website ranking higher for those keywords linked in the text.

Ok, so just exactly HOW do you get backlinks from writing niche articles?  Simple.  Each article has an “about the author” resource box that is required to be kept intact and with the article.  And in that ‘about the author’ box you include a link to your website of choice.

In time people will start using your articles on their own websites, and your about the author box will be included with the link.  If your article is of high quality and in a fairly popular niche category, it is not unusual to get hundreds of links back to your site this way.  Hundreds of backlinks, all with your keywords in them, means much more ranking power for your website.

So take a little time and write some high quality articles on your niche, or area of expertise.  Be sure to check the spelling and grammar!  You might even have a friend who is a good reader and/or writer look over it for you to make sure you didn’t miss any errors.  A second pair of eyes is always better than just one.

Another great benefit of syndicating your articles through Ezine Articles (and other good article directories) is that people reading the articles will often visit your site through the link in your about box.  That’s free traffic!  Multiply that times hundreds of copies of your article and it can really add up.

And yet a third benefit is that once your article is on hundreds (or even thousands) of websites, you can state that on your site for added “authority value”. “My articles appear on thousands of Widget websites across the web” really sets you up as an authority in your field.

What are you waiting for?  Get to work writing those articles!

Note:  I use a couple tools to make my article writing and submission a breeze.  In fact, I’ve put this aspect of my business on autopilot by utilizing private label articles and an automated article submission script. I checked out many PLR article sites and about every automated article submitter available - I found most of the PLR article sites delivered articles either written quite poorly by non-english speaking ‘ghost writers’ or the articles were delivered in a format OTHER than text, making for additional work and time spent on formatting, spelling, and grammar errors.   As for automated article submitters… they are NOT created equal and I’ve found only ONE that consistently gets my articles accepted and placed into the most directories…
